My son is a school teacher and is on his feet for hours at a time every day. He has worn the Ecco Seawalker Tie shoe for the past 10 years and swears he will NEVER wear anything else! He has replaced them four times now. They wear and wear. Just keep making them! By the way, this is a birthday present for him.
