With its deep treads and low profile, the 295 is built like a BMX bike--and it rides like one, too. Our testers appreciated the excellent traction, but some questioned whether the midsole provided enough support for daily training runs. It's the most flexible shoe in this review yet one of the firmest, according to our lab tests. The upper is made of a breathable mesh with a thin overlay pattern that extends well into the forefoot. This helps lock down the ball of the foot while providing some arch support. Recommended as a training or racing shoe for biomechanically efficient runners who like to tackle a mix of trail surfaces.

I bought these shoes a few months ago. I live in the Northwest and deal with the elements frequently (mostly rain). These shoes provide great traction. They're very comfortable and provide good support for running. I usually run about 30 miles a week and use these shoes on all runs under 6 miles.
Great shoe.
