I purchased these shoes also. I was really looking forward to wearing New Balance again. I have been running in strictly 5 fingers but was looking for a alternative shoe for when the weather turns cruddy here in Alaska. I ran in the minimus for about 4 minutes and immediately felt pain where the rubber side piece on the inside of the toe box is located. My foot is actually quite sore and swollen from this small amount of time in them. I soo wanted them to work. But if you have a wide forefoot like I do- these are NOT the shoes for you. I will continue running and living in my vibrams for now. I am going to try a pair of Terra Plana Evos 2. I am extremely disappointed with New Balance on this one.

I bought my New Balance Minimus from the ShoeMart a week prior to taking on the GoRuck Challenge http://goruckchallenge.com/ . I used them for a few CrossFit WOD's and put roughly 6 miles on them prior to the challenge. They were wet within the first hour of the GoRuck and didn't retain much water at all. They were comfortable for 2.5 Hours of Bear Crawls and a people even said "I wish I had your shoes". Fast forward 10 hours, fireman carries, log carries, and farmer carries with a 30lb pack on the whole time it wound up being all in all 19+ miles of "Good living" as they say. And in the end my feet while swollen felt great. The next week I put them thru the Tough Mudder and they performed great once again. After both beatings I just rinsed them out with a garden hose and let them dry in the sun and they are good as new. I highly recommend these shoes for anyone for CrossFit a local 5k or any other challenge you can throw at them. I won’t be running in anything else for a long time!
