Vibram Five Fingers Bikila LS
Following the footsteps of the original Vibram FiveFingers Bikila, the new Bikila LS offers a closed speed lace system to accommodate a wider foot or higher instep. It shares the same revolutionary platform as the Bikila, featuring a Dri-Lex covered 3mm polyurethane insole (thickest under the ball) and a 4mm anatomical pod outsole design. This combination provides superior plating protection and distributes forefoot impact without compromising essential ground feedback. The Bikila LS upper is constructed of Coconut Active Carbon for natural breathability. An athletic padded collar and topline, 3M reflective surfaces, and abrasion resistant PU toe protection add to Bikila LS road worthy design. The defining feature of the Bikila LS is its closed quick lace system assuring a custom fit for a wider range of foot types. Machine Wash, Air Dry.

I'm on my second pair of Bikila LS and have been very happy with both pairs. I got about 300 miles out of the first pair before they wore out (velcro lace retaining tab ripped off, insole wore through, toe pads wore off, fabric by big toe and second toe wore through). To extend the life of this second pair, I have been applying Shoe Goo to the toe pads so that the wear of the toe pads and the fabric next to the toe pads is delayed. This strategy seems to work well and I'm looking at getting more miles out of this pair. If you run on crushed limestone, the wear rate increases considerably. I think this is still a great shoe for pavement running.

VFF Bikila LS are truly one of the BEST shoes that I've ever worn. As a Licensed Massage Therapist, I am on my feet anywhere between 7-8 hours daily, and this shoe, unlike traditional sneakers, offers the natural feel of being barefoot during a session, but with the protection and visual appeal well-deserved by my clients. Not everyone is open to seeing their therapist with bare feet, and Vibram FiveFingers truly allows you to feel bare without freaking out your people. :) Outside of massage, this shoe is AMAZING for walking, jogging, etc...can't wait to try another model to rotate. I do recommend a little Odor Eaters to control moisture and wash them every week or so!

Shipping was super fast! Came ion 4 business days. Fit true to size. Wore them the entire evening I received them. Running in them today for the first time! Can't wait until these wear out so I can order another pair!

I've tried 3 different types of VFFs and this is by far my favorite. Very comfortable shoe that I've run many miles in; most on dirt trails. Somehow the fabric between the big and index toes wore out, so they didn't last as long as i thought.
