Rainbow® Sandals, known for their durability and comfort, are a favorite of surfers and worldwide travelers. Designed with the desire to create a flip flop that won't fall apart, Rainbow® Sandals are made with quality materials and construction.
In the 70's when Jay "Sparky" Longley came across yet another broken sandal discarded in the sand and decided to do something about it. Rainbow® Sandals began with his dream to make a better sandal, combined with $200 and years of work. Sparky formulated many new materials and techniques to create the durable Rainbow® Sandals we know and love today, including new densities of sponge rubber to allow "memory" comfort technology and a new glue formula. When customers discovered the quality and comfort of Rainbow® Sandals, they spread the news and helped grow Rainbow® Sandals into the popular classic sandals that they are today.
Today, Rainbow® Sandals makes 2,000,000 pairs of sandals a year. They are created by hand with 3 layers of that specially formulated glue to keep the multiple layers together. The various sponge rubber densities make Rainbow® Sandals very comfortable, with "memory" that molds to individuals' feet.
