Reebok CrossFit Lite TR

Posted by Liz J. on Jul 10th 2017

The second Reebok CrossFit Open Workout was announced last night. 14.2 consists of 3 minute intervals, each with two rounds of overhead squats and chest-to-bar pull ups. The two rounds MUST be completed each within three minutes, and for each three minute interval, the number of reps increases. You can click here for the full details from The Games' website.

For 14.1, we recommended either the Inov-8 FastLift or the Reebok Nano 3.0. For 14.2, we suggest the Men's or Women's Reebok CrossFit Lite TR

With a high-top profile, these shoes will certainly get a lot of attention--but that's not the best part. For those who already lift in Chucks, the mid-cut Lite TR is a bit of an upgrade with a bit of arch support, roomy toe-box, and DuraGrip toe cap--and a lot of customers find them to be lighter. The flat sole keeps your foot from rolling, and gets you closer to the ground for more efficient energy exertion.

The stability that this shoe offers is excellent for Overhead Squats by allowing you to firmly plant your feet. While lifting in the CrossFit Lite TRs, the energy you exert doesn't have to travel through a ton of padding to get to the ground before it travels back up with the weight. You are going to want to save that energy so that you can get through as many rounds as possible. Plus, having a lightweight shoe will come in handy for those chest-to-bar pull-ups.

A lot of customers have reported that they needed to size down by a half size because of the wide toe box, so keep that in mind when grabbing yourself a pair.

We featured the Lite TR's in our latest video, which shows you how to try on our athletic shoes so that they remain in great condition and can be returned if they do not fit:
