What is an Alden All Weather Walker?

Alden All Weather Walkers are casual shoes made with inclement weather in mind. These models are made with Alden's leather-tipped plantation crepe outsole. The crepe provides both traction and insulation from the cold ground. The fitted leather tip helps to decrease wear on the crepe tread. A Goodyear Storm welt comes up over the upper of the shoe for added water-resistance.

These attributes make the All Weather Walker a great choice for winter. It provides great insulation on cold or rainy days and offers plenty of comfort for those that do a lot of walking. It is a staple casual shoe for the New England lifestyle.

Alden Longwing All Weather Walker

Our Custom Bootmaker Edition #97720 combines this durable cold weather construction with Alden's signature longwing pattern. The graduated perforations and pinking are created with a scrupulous attention to detail for a well-balanced casual aesthetic. Dark Brown smooth calfskin uppers offer just the right color palette for New England's fall and winter seasons. Pair them with jeans or casual trousers for date night.

Sizing Note: These, like the other stock model AWW, come on Alden's Barrie Last. This last runs long, and most of our customers go down 1/2 size in length from their typical dress shoe size. So, if you normally wear a size 10 D, we recommend ordering a 9.5 D in these shoes. The Barrie offers plenty of space, wide at both the heel and ball of the foot. It is great for most foot shapes and accommodates a relatively high or instep. The Barrie Last is also great for overpronators and those with wide forefeet.
